Two Teens Arrested In Spring Hill Parking Lot Stabbing

SPRING HILL, Tenn. – Two teens have been charged in a stabbing in the parking lot of a Spring Hill shopping center.

The stabbing happened Saturday night in the parking lot of The Crossings shopping center.

Spring Hill Police said the 19-year-old victim was in the passenger seat of a vehicle when a 16-year-old inside the vehicle stabbed him. The victim told police that the 16-year-old and the 17-year-old driver then tried to take his wallet, which contained cash.

The 19-year-old victim tried to drive away from the scene in his car in an attempt to get to the nearest hospital. Instead, he had to pull over at a nearby gas station where he called 911.

Dispatch: Listen to me okay, take a deep breath. What part of your body are you stabbed?
Victim: Near the - I think my lung is punctured; that is why I am not breathing. (inaudible.)
Dispatch: Yeah, I can tell you're having a hard time breathing, so you think your lung is punctured?
Victim: Yes Ma'am.

The victim, whose identity was not immediately released, was taken by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. He was last reported in stable condition.

The two teens were charged in Juvenile Court. Police do not believe it was gang related.
