Pedestrian Struck, Killed On Madison Roadway

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A 60-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed on a busy Madison roadway late Wednesday night.

Police said James C. Grace was not in a crosswalk when he tried to cross South Gallatin Pike around 10 p.m. A green Toyota Camry, driven by 36-year-old Hannah Holmes, struck Grace while he was walking in the roadway.

Grace was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he died from his injuries.

Investigators said there was no evidence of alcohol involvement. No charges have been filed.
