Top Country Stars Rock L.P. Field

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Some of Country music's top stars took the stage at L.P. Field Saturday night as the CMA Music Fest continued. They included The Oak Ridge Boys, Kelly Clarkson and Keith Urban. Thousands of fans packed the stadium.

All that star power came on the heels of huge stars like Sheryl Crow, Randy Travis, Hunter Hayes, Lady Antebellum, and Blake Shelton, who all performed Friday night.

During the day on Saturday, Country stars hit the baseball field for a good cause. It was all part of the 23rd Annual City of Hope Celebrity Softball Challenge. Every year, celebrities play softball at the event to raise money to fight cancer and other diseases.

Fans saw singers like Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard from Florida Georgia Line, American Idol winner Scotty McCreery, and Brett Eldredge among others.

We caught up with one young cancer survivor who was there thanking the players and spectators for helping in the search for a cure.

"I didn't really like having to go to the doctors all the time," said John Cloer, a Leukemia Survivor. "It was really hard for me to constantly be at the doctors and not at home with my family."

"I'm lucky to be here today and to be a survivor, and I hope we can help others survive, too," Cloer continued.
