Heavy Volume, Long Lines Expected At Nashville Airport

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Some delays were anticipated at Nashville International Airport as CMA Music Festival fans make their way home.

The Nashville Airport Authority said there will be heavy passenger volume and longer lines at security screening Monday and Tuesday.

Airport officials advise travelers to arrive at least two hours early in order to check in and make their way through security.

The airport suggests packing smartly, checking tsa.gov online for tips. Also, passengers should check the status of their flights before coming to the airport. Departing passengers should arrive at least two hours before scheduled departure Monday and Tuesday.

They also said those who use curbside check-in could see some delays. The ticketing level passenger drop-off is also under construction from 8 p.m.- 4 a.m. One lane is maintained at all times.

Airport traffic will not slow down over the next few days as Bonnaroo kicks off Thursday in Manchester. Officials expect congestion at the airport through June 18.
