Man Charged In Lewis County Shooting Death

Posted: Updated:

LEWIS COUNTY, Tenn. – A man has been charged with the shooting death of a man in Hohenwald last week.

Joshua Nash, 31, was arrested Monday afternoon by the Lewis County Sheriff's Department and charged with criminal homicide in the death of 65-year-old Donald Runions.

Runions was found shot to death inside his home at 960 Centerville Highway on Friday afternoon after Runions' ex-wife and neighbor Randy Willis went to check on him after several attempts to call.

Investigators had said there was no forced entry and they don't believe it was a random act. It was unclear what relationship Nash and Runions had or if they knew each other. The motive was unknown.

Lewis County Sheriff Dwayne Kilpatrick said he knew Runion personally and that he was a good man who has never been in trouble before.

Nash was held without bond.
