I-24 Westbound Reopens In Clarksville After Wreck

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Interstate 24 westbound has reopened after a wreck in Montgomery County Tuesday.

The incident was reported around 1 p.m. at mile marker 1 near the Tennessee-Kentucky state line.

Police were diverting traffic to alternate routes after they shutdown the roadway between exit 1 and exit 4. 

Eastbound traffic was affected with rubbernecking delays. 

The Tennessee Department of Transportation said there was still congestion in the area after the roadway reopened.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol was on the scene of the wreck investigating.
