New Fire Station Opens In Joelton

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A new fire station opened in Joelton on Wednesday morning.

Mayor Karl Dean and Interim Director Billy Lynch cut the ribbon on the new Station 30, which is just across from the old one, on Old Clarksville Highway.

Officials said it's safer and more energy efficient, with solar panels on the roof and an electric vehicle charging station.

It's the fourth of six stations set to be replaced in the next few years.
