Soldier Arrested, Charged With Shooting

Posted: Updated:

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. -- A soldier has been arrested and charged after allegedly shooting at a home in Hopkinsville.

According to the Kentucky New Era, 21-year-old Roberto M. Rivas was charged with Wanton Endangerment. He's accused of discharging a high-powered rifle in the direction of a residential area.  Police called it a "stray shooting," and it was unclear whether homes were intentionally targeted orif the shootings were random.

Last weekend, a homeowner on Bark Ridge Court reported he was watching TV when he heard several shots, and realized his home had been hit.
