Woman, Teen Assaulted At South Nashville Walmart

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - A woman and a teenager were assaulted by a man at a south Nashville Walmart store over the weekend.

Early Sunday afternoon, the 52-year-old woman and the 15-year-old girl were at the Walmart in the 5800 block of Nolensville Pike.

According to police, the man grabbed the teenager in the parking lot and attempted to drag her into a parked car. The girl's 17-year-old sister and her father ran over to help and the suspect managed to get away.

The 52-year-old woman reported that the suspect fondled her inside the store.

The man was driving a dark gray Toyota Solara convertible, which had been reported stolen in Illinois on Saturday after the owner left the keys in the ignition. The Illinois plate number is R762500.

The man was described as a black male, approximately 5'10" tall and weighs approximately 180 pounds. He wore black shorts and a gray shirt.
