Hermitage Home Damaged In Afternoon Fire

HERMITAGE, Tenn. – Firefighters were called out to a Davidson County home after fire broke out in an upstairs bedroom.

Crews from the Nashville Fire Department arrived at a house on Dutchmans Drive in the Tulip Grove area of Hermitage just before noon Tuesday.

Officials said the homeowner saw smoke coming from upstairs and rushed to a neighbor's house to call 911 emergency dispatchers.

Flames created significant damage to an upstairs bedroom and some water damage downstairs.

There were no injuries. The cost of damages was not available.

Investigators said they were working to determine the cause of the fire.
