Home Destroyed By Fire In Clarksville

Posted: Updated:

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A home was destroyed by fire in Clarksville on Thursday morning.

The home was fully engulfed in flames when first responders got on the scene around 11 a.m. on Dunbrook Drive, near East Montgomery Elementary School.

The homeowner was able to get out safely.

Firefighters were initially unable to go inside the home because the fire was too intense. Sky 5 HD showed nearly the entire roof was gone, and firefighters were inside the home trying to put out hot spots around 1 p.m.

Montgomery County Sheriff's Office spokesman Deputy Ted Denny told the Leaf Chronicle the home was a total loss.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.

The newspaper said the Two Rivers Chapter of the American Red Cross was responding.
