Woman Rescued After Falling Down Embankment

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A woman had to be rescued late Thursday night after falling down an embankment in downtown Nashville.

Metro Police said the woman was dancing on a brick wall on Gay Street near 1st Avenue around 11 p.m. when she fell off, and down the embankment.

Police and the Nashville Fire Department were called out to rescue her.

She was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, but was talking when she left for the hospital.

Her identity was not released, and her condition was unknown.
