Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A standoff between police an a man at a Hermitage apartment building came to an end Saturday evening.

It all started around 3:30 p.m. at the Dawn Villa apartments in the 3300 block of Lebanon Road. That's near the intersection with Central Pike. A SWAT Team, mobile command post, and more than a dozen police officers were called out to the scene.

According to police, 37-year-old Jason D. Keith threatened his girlfriend with a handgun. A warrant for Aggravated Assault was obtained, but the suspect refused to leave the apartment. Just before 5:30 p.m. Keith finally came out and surrendered peacefully to police.

Police closed part of Lebanon Road for nearly 2 hours, and diverted traffic away from the scene. The roadway reopened a few minutes after Keith surrendered.
