Taxi Driver Robbed At Gunpoint In Rutherford County

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. – A taxi driver was robbed at gunpoint early Monday morning in Rutherford County, and now authorities need help identifying the robber.

Rutherford County Sheriff's deputies said the City Cab driver picked up the man at Mapco Express on Almaville Road in Smyrna, and drove him to Tremont Apartments in Murfreesboro around 3:30 a.m.

Then, they drove to a vacant home on Twin Oak Drive, off East Main Street, where the rider pulled out a gun and stole the driver's keys, phone, taser, and money. The man ordered the driver to walk around the home while he fled the scene.
