Top Ten Most Wanted Fugitive Captured In Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – One of the state's Top Ten Most Wanted fugitives was captured Wednesday afternoon in Nashville.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said 22-year-old Terrace Dewayne Shaw was taken into custody around 3 p.m. on Burns Street in Nashville. A suspected accomplice, Aderius Bingham, was also arrested.

Shaw was wanted by the Lebanon Police Department for especially aggravated robbery. Police said Shaw and another man forced their way into a motel room at Plaza 231 Inn on Cumberland Street on June 22. One of the men hit the victim in the head with a handgun, and they took the victim's wallet, $350 cash and prescription pills.

The victim identified Shaw as one of the men who robbed him.

Additionally, Shaw had been out on bond for an aggravated robbery charge stemming from another incident on June 11 in Lebanon.

Felony warrants were also on file for Shaw for violating his probation on charges of possession of cocaine and aggravated burglary. It is believed that Bingham was involved with Shaw in one of the robberies.

Shaw and Bingham were transported to the Metro Nashville East Precinct for transfer to the Lebanon Police Department. They will be booked into the Wilson County Jail.
