Two Hurt In Crash On 840 In Rutherford County

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Tenn. – Two people were hurt in a crash on a busy highway in Rutherford County on Sunday evening.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said a U-Haul pulling a car veered into another lane along 840 westbound around 5:20 p.m. That caused a Chevrolet Trailblazer to swerve and cross over the median into oncoming traffic.

The Trailblazer struck a Ford F-150 head-on.

The driver of the Trailblazer, 64-year-old Deborah Oakley, was taken by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. The driver of the pickup, 31-year-old Joshua C. White, was taken by ambulance to Middle Tennessee Medical Center in Murfreesboro.

It was unclear if any charges would be filed.
