Teen Arrested After Bus Window Shot Out By BB Gun

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A teenage boy has been arrested after police said he shot out the window of a passing school bus in North Nashville.

The incident happened around 5 p.m. Wednesday as a school bus from the Metro Nashville Public School system drove down Creekwood Drive near Parkwood Park.

Officials said the bus driver was making his way down the street when a 15-year-old inside a home shot at the bus with a BB gun, shattering the driver-side window.

There were two students on board the bus at the time.

"I just heard the bus driver's glass break. I thought he was shot," said Brianna Page. "I was really shocked."

Page's mother, Deanna Bolton, said the bus was put on lockdown as standard procedure in the event of a shooting.

No one was injured, but an ambulance was called to the scene to examine the driver.

The teen was arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated assault. His identity was not released.
