WHITE HOUSE, Tenn. – Folks in White House celebrated the nation's independence this weekend just a couple days after the 4th of July.

Even though the fireworks show was scheduled for Saturday night all along, the past few days of rain put a damper on the SummerFest Carnival also happening at the Soccer Complex - forcing them to close early, or stay closed all together for many of the past few days.

The fireworks show went off without a hitch - good news for organizers who spent the whole afternoon setting the show up.

"I do it every year this is the only time I'll do it, three to four shows a year and I don't think I'll ever stop," said Thomas Bresnahan.

Saturday night was the final evening for SummerFest in White House.
