Robber Punches Victim During Home Invasion In Antioch

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A robber punched a woman during a home invasion in Antioch early Tuesday morning.

Police were called to the Chimney Top Apartment Homes on Chimneytop Drive just before 5 a.m. A woman told officers she woke up to a man standing over her. She said he acted like he knew her, and he demanded money when she screamed.

He then punched her in her left eye and stole a guitar, cell phone, cash, and the victim's purse. He fled the scene before police arrived.

The man was described as a black male in his mid-20s, and approximately 5'9" and 170 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans and dark ball cap.

Metro Police said it appears to be a random crime, or possibly a case of mistaken identity.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (615)74-CRIME.
