Nashville Dancin' Canceled Thursday Due To High River Levels

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Nashville Dancin' concert scheduled for Thursday night has been canceled due to high river levels on the Cumberland River.

Event organizers and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers said water levels at the park will rise, as dams are opened to let off water from all the rain late last week.

The plan is to release water from the dams at Wolf Creek, Dale Hollow, Center Hill and Percy Priest. The water levels at River Front Park will rise above the lower deck making it unsafe for anyone to be around that area.

Nashville Dancin' will return next Thursday with Mike Farris & The Roseland Revue, The Kingston Springs,Sol Cat, and Roots of a Rebellion.
