87-Year-Old Man Killed, 2 Injured In Mt. Pleasant Crash

MT. PLEASANT, Tenn. – An 87-year-old man was killed and two others were injured in a one-vehicle crash in Maury County on Tuesday afternoon.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said 64-year-old Rosemary Chapman was driving a 2005 Volkswagen Jetta along Dry Creek Road in Mt. Pleasant around 1:30 p.m. While negotiating a curve, she went off the left side of the roadway and crashed into concrete culvert in a ditch.

The backseat passenger, 87-year-old Park Boshears, was thrown into the front seat. He was not wearing his seatbelt, and died at the scene.

Chapman along with another passenger, 85-year-old Jane Boshears, were taken to the hospital with injuries. The THP report said both were wearing their seatbelts.

The investigation was ongoing.
