NASHVILLE, Tenn. - An Old Hickory teenager is recovering from his second surgery in two days, after being involved in a freak accident.

Caleb Wilson, 17, was hanging out at Old Hickory Lake with friends Sunday, when a truck accidentally backed over him.  Wilson broke his ankle and suffered severe spinal injuries.  No one else was hurt in the accident.

"I just didn't know what to think," said Isaac Wilson, Caleb's brother.  "It was crazy something could happen like that.  It only takes a second for something like that to occur."

Wilson is a rising senior at Goodpasture Christian School and is a varsity football and baseball player.

Friends and family members have been by Wilson's side at Vanderbilt University Medical Center since the accident, and doing whatever they can to show their support.

"We started the hashtag ‘pray for Caleb' on Twitter and it started trending when he was in surgery yesterday," said Wilson's friend, Kaitlyn Hager. "People who don't even know him have been tweeting it, saying they are supporting him and praying for him."

"His friends, and our community has quickly surrounded him and my family with love and support," said Isaac Wilson.  "It is more than we could have ever asked for."

No charges will be filed as a result of the accident.

Family members said they expect Wilson to be hospitalized for an extended period of time, and he still has a long road to recovery ahead.
