Ft. Campbell Soldier Charged In Road Rage Stabbing

FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. - A road rage incident turned violent when police said a Fort Campbell soldier stabbed a man.

Oak Grove Police said 21-year old Nicholas Martinez rear-ended the victim's vehicle on Fort Campbell Boulevard around 8:45 p.m. Monday. When the driver got out and approached Martinez, police said the soldier stabbed him.

The victim then drove to a nearby Sonic Drive-Thru, where employees called authorities.

He was then taken by Life-Flight to Vanderbilt Medical Center. The victim's identity was not immediately released.

Martinez was charged with first-degree assault and booked into the Christian County jail in Hopkinsville on $25,000 bond.
