MT. JULIET, Tenn. – Police have released the identity and photo for the juvenile suspect in an attempted shooting and armed robbery in Wilson County.

The shooting happened on Curd Road in Mt. Juliet just after 8 p.m. Thursday, July 11.

Sgt. Tyler Chandler with the Mt. Juliet Police Department said a 23-year-old male from Nashville was visiting friends when two suspects walked up to the man and demanded money. One of the suspects was 17-year-old San Antonio Freeman from Lebanon.

After a brief struggle, police said Freeman fired one shot, fortunately missing the suspect.

Freeman and the other suspect ran to a nearby car where a third suspect was waiting.

The other two suspects were identified as 23-year-old Roderick Majors from Lebanon and 24-year-old Mario Newsome from Nashville.

Chandler said investigators were able to quickly identify the suspects. Both Majors and Newsome have been arrested.

Officials said Freeman was still on the run. A warrant was issued for his arrest.

Police said Freeman should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone who sees Freeman or knows his whereabouts should avoid a confrontation and call police.

There were warrants for his arrest on file with the Wilson County Sheriff's Office after a vehicle pursuit on July 14 involving a stolen truck.

Freeman was wanted on charges of aggravated assault, aggravated robbery, three counts of reckless endangerment, possession of a prohibited weapon, felony evading arrest and possession of stolen property.

Anyone with information about Freeman's location has been asked to call the Mt. Juliet Police Department at 615-754-2550.
