NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A traffic stop involving a stolen rental car and counterfeit money led to the arrest of two men.

On Wednesday afternoon, officers stopped an Enterprise rental car that had been reported stolen on I-40 westbound near Mile Marker 199.

The car, a black Chevy Camaro, was valued at $22,000. They also discovered counterfeit money inside the glove box of the car.

Police charged both the driver, Kevius Finch, and the passenger, Frederick Scates, with possession of counterfeit money and theft.

Scates told officers he had sold a stolen Chevy Camaro last night, and was paid in the phony money.

Investigators said Scates and his accomplice worked with an Enterprise employee at Nashville International Airport, who gave keys and location of the cars to both suspects.
