Mom Charged With Leaving Infant In Hot Car

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A 22-year-old mother was arrested after police said she left her infant in a hot car during a trip to Walmart.

Police arrived at the Walmart Neighborhood Market to find Keiona Koon's car still in a handicapped space, with her infant child inside.

A check of the surveillance cameras showed Koon was in the store for nearly an hour.

The little boy was not harmed, but doctors said even a few minutes in a car on a hot day can be life-threatening for an infant.

Koon was charged with child neglect.
