GALLATIN, Tenn. – Highway 109 was shut down in both directions at the Sumner County/Wilson County border after several crashes.

Officials said there were a total of three wrecks near the bridge over Old Hickory Lake in a construction zone. One of the crashes was on the bridge.

The crashes happened just after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
