Man Shot During Struggle With Home Invaders In Antioch

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A man was shot after fighting back against home intruders at his home in Antioch.

Police said a 33-year-old man was sleeping with his girlfriend at a home on Pippin Drive when three to four people entered their home around 3:15 a.m. Friday.

A man entered the bedroom, and held the woman at gunpoint. The male victim then ran out of the bedroom and got into a fight with other intruders in the hallway. During the struggle, the victim was shot once in the hip.

Another man stole the woman's purse from the bedroom, and then fled the home.

The victim then drove himself to Southern Hills Medical Center, where he was treated and released for non-life threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made, and no descriptions of the intruders were immediately available.
