NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A Nashville couple came across a big black box in their yard and was surprised with what they found inside and who it belonged to.

Dave Arrington stumbled upon a box at the corner of Clay Lick Road along Lickton Pike during his walk Sunday afternoon. "I seen the box and I said I ain't, might be a bomb, or somebody," said Dave.

His wife, Mary Arrington, said she was a little nervous to find out what was inside. That nervousness turned into surprise when she saw it was a pricey sound mixer.

"A lot of valuable equipment in there, that somebody would want to get back," explained Mary.

Arrington can only come up with one possibility of how the equipment landed next to her Whites Creek home. "Maybe the tour bus turned the corner too hard, or something, and just throwed it out on the property."

On the side of the box were clear clues to who the mixer belongs to – Sammy Kershaw's name was labeled on the box.

Arrington went down the road to where country singer Sammy Kershaw stores his tour bus, but she couldn't find anyone who knew anything about a missing black box.

"Since it's got his name on it, and it's his property, I'd much rather get it back to him, than anybody else."

NewsChannel 5 called Sammy Kershaw's manager Billy Holland Monday afternoon, and then sent him a few photos of the equipment.

It does indeed belong to Kershaw, who just came off the road Sunday. Holland said a door on the bus must not have locked properly and the box fell out. He was very appreciative the Arrington's took care of the equipment and got it back to Sammy.
