HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. – A shoplifting call turned into a high speed chase in Hendersonville overnight.

Hendersonville Police were called about shoplifting at the Walmart on North Anderson Lane around 1:55 a.m. Tuesday. The caller said that four women had filled a shopping cart and their purses with merchandise and then left the store without paying.

A description and direction of the vehicle was given to police, and responding officers spotted the vehicle leaving the area on Indian Lake Boulevard.

Officers turned on their lights and sirens in an attempt to stop the vehicle, but it did not stop and got onto Vietnam Veterans Boulevard headed toward Nashville.

Officers gave chase, and the vehicle was disabled by spike strips a short time later.

Several hundred dollars' worth of merchandise stolen from Walmart was recovered from the vehicle.

Police arrested four people on theft and possession of burglary tools. They included Jasmine and Lisa Wilson, William Jenkins, and Kierra King, all from Nashville.

Police said Jasmine and Lisa Wilson are mother and daughter, and Jenkins, who was also charged with felon fleeing and driving on a suspended license, was wearing a yellow dress during the incident.

All except King have theft records in Nashville.
