Resident's Quick Action Leads To Arrest Of Wanted Fugitive

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - An east Nashville resident's quick action helped police nab a wanted Robertson County fugitive.

Metro Police said the resident thought she saw Joshua Harvell in the area of Allenwood Drive. She recognized him from newscasts as being wanted in a Springfield home burglary last week.

She contacted East Precinct Community Coordinator Mike Fisher and provided the description of the Nissan automobile in which Harvell was riding.

Fisher asked the precinct's Flex Team to check the neighborhood. An officer spotted the car and stopped it, taking the 21-year-old into custody without incident.

Harvell was transferred to Robertson County where he was charged with aggravated burglary, aggravated assault and theft.

Harvell was convicted of robbery in Nashville last August. He received a six-year probated sentence.
