Police Search For Pink-Clad Suspect On Theft, Assault Charges

Posted: Updated:

MADISON, Tenn. – A woman dressed up in pink who was caught shoplifting at a Target store escaped after threatening a security with a pink stun gun.

The incident happened inside the Target on Gallatin Pike in Madison Sunday evening.

Investigators with the Metro Nashville Police Department said the woman was seen on surveillance video walking into the store with two individuals.

The woman was wearing a pink bow in her hair, pink lipstick and carried a large pink purse.

Security personnel detained the woman after they said they witnessed her shoplifting. They took her to an office area where she removed the stolen items from a pink purse. It was then that she removed the stun gun and reportedly lunged at a member of the security staff.

The woman fled from the store and was last seen running with the other two individuals toward Gallatin Pike.

Police said the use of the stun gun elevated possible charges against the woman from theft to aggravated assault.

Anyone with information about the crime or the identity of the woman or the other two women with her should call Crime Stoppers at 615-74-CRIME (743-7463).
