Two Hurt In Shooting South Of Downtown Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Two men were hurt in a shooting in the JC Napier neighborhood overnight.

Police said shots were fired near the intersection of Charles E. Davis Boulevard and Cannon Street sometime after midnight.

Two men were caught in the gunfire, and taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. One of the men suffered non-life threatening injuries, while the other was listed in critical but stable condition.Their identities were not released.

Cars and buildings were also struck by the gunfire.

According to police, there was another victim who showed up at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital with a gunshot to the hand about 30 minutes before the shooting, but they don't know if it was related.

Detectives were interviewing witnesses to determine exactly what happened.

No suspect descriptions were immediately released, and no arrests have been made.
