Couple Runs To Gas Station For Help After Home Invasion

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A couple ran to a nearby gas station to call for help after an overnight home invasion.

The couple told police they were asleep inside their apartment on Murfreesboro Pike when they heard someone enter the apartment through an unlocked sliding glass door.

Two men came into the bedroom, and demanded that the victims get on the ground. The male victim initially refused to comply, and that's when one of the men opened fire. When the shooting stopped, he demanded they both get on the ground and told them to give them all they had. The victims complied, and the men fled the scene on foot with personal property of the victims.

The victims then ran from their home to a nearby Mapco to call police.

The male victim suffered an abrasion on his arm, but was not taken to the hospital.

No arrests have been made. Both men were said to be from 19 to 25 years of age, wearing all black clothing. One was armed with a .22 caliber rifle and wearing a black ski mask.
