Rescued Horse Needs New Home Once Again

GALLATIN, Tenn. - For the second time in her life a blue eyed, blonde horse named Grace is in need of a new home after being rescued from deplorable conditions at a Cannon County farm in 2009.

"She's really good, has good ground manners and lets you pet her, brush her," explains Brenda Lees, who is caring for 20-year-old horse.

Grace was one of 84 horses pulled from a farm in Cannon County after officials say their owners neglected them to the point of starvation.

"She's come a long way from where she was that day," says Brenda.

Until a few weeks ago, Grace had found a new home in Springfield but her owners recently decided they needed to give her up. The mare is in need of a new family for the second time in her life.

"She's in great shape, she's not like most of the rescues that we get in that are too skinny. She's if anything maybe a little on the heavy side," Brenda says.
