Elderly Couple Robbed In Springfield Parking Lot

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. – An elderly couple was robbed Wednesday afternoon in a grocery store parking lot.

Springfield Police said a man snatched a 75-year-old Sandra Pinson's purse around 3 p.m. at the Kroger on Memorial Boulevard.

During the theft, her husband, 75-year-old James Pinson, was injured and taken to NorthCrest Medical Center by ambulance.  

The suspect was described as a man in his 20's with a slim build. He was last seen leaving in a small black, two-door car.
