Titans Open Preseason At LP Field Thursday Night

Posted: Updated:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Tennessee Titans open their season at home Thursday night with their first preseason game.

The Titans will take on the Washington Redskins with kickoff at 7 p.m.

Fans can expect it to take a little longer to get inside the gates due to new NFL bag rules. No large purses or diaper bags will be allowed inside stadiums across the country.

"We would ask if people come a little earlier if they could. We've got a very good plan in place, our staff will be at the gates as well to make it as smooth as possible," said Don MacLachlan, Vice President of Administration and Facilities.

Women will only be allowed to bring a clutch or small handheld purse to the games. Anything else will be only allowed inside in clear plastic bags about the size of a large Ziploc bag.

If you don't have one, they will have some available at the gate.

NewsChannel 5 meteorologist Lelan Statom said fans will also likely need to bring rain gear as scattered thunderstorms are forecast for the evening hours. Umbrellas are not allowed in the stadium.
