MT. PLEASANT, Tenn. - The family of a Mt. Pleasant teen killed on her way to a football game Friday night is hoping other young drivers learn something from their daughters tragic death.

"We shouldn't be doing this. It's tough because she was 17 years old, you aren't supposed to be preparing for a funeral," said Beverly Orban's stepfather Wendall Holder.

Beverly Orban died on her way to a Mt. Pleasant high school football jamboree after her car ran off the side of Highway 166. No one else was hurt or killed and officials believe speed may have caused the crash.

"Take your time, slow down, take a few extra minutes, be late I mean it's so much more important than not getting there. We need to take our time and pay attention to the road," explained close family friend Erin Smith.

Beverly was a promising young athlete about to start her senior year at Mt. Pleasant High School, her family is now planning her funeral service for Tuesday afternoon.

"I just hope people think of her faith, think of her heart. I don't know how or when the heartache will end, for a lot of people it probably never will," said Smith.
