Cashier Pepper Sprayed During Robbery Attempt

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – East Precinct Detectives are searching for a man who attempted to rob the Little Caesars Pizza on Gallatin Pike Monday night.

Police said the suspect entered the store on 3306 Gallatin Pike at 9:10 p.m. and ordered two pizzas and paid with cash. When the cashier opened the register, he pepper sprayed the employee in the face.

As he tried to grab money from the register after pepper spraying her, she slammed the cash register shut. The suspect took off with no money.

Detectives described the suspect as a white man who appears to be in his late teens or early 20s. He has brown curly hair with long bangs that cover his eyes and a dark mark or scar on the left side of his bottom lip. As seen in surveillance video, he wore a hooded sweatshirt with "Class of 2011" written on the front.
