Police: Man Had Infants In Backseat When He Rammed Police Cruiser

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A wanted man was taken into custody after police said he rammed a police car with two infants inside his vehicle.

Police spotted 23-year-old Deangelo Oldham in a car parked in an alley near 16th Avenue North in the Andrew Jackson Apartments. When police tried to stop him, an affidavit said he put his car into reverse and slammed it into a police car as an officer was trying to get out of the way.

He resisted arrest, but was eventually taken into custody. Police said they found two infants in the back seat of the car. They also found cocaine and a digital scale with white residue on it inside a diaper bag.

Police said Oldham was already wanted on multiple charges, including aggravated burglary from June when he and another man allegedly stole more than $7,000 from a home.

His bond was set at $277,000.
