SHELBYVILLE, Tenn. – Shelbyville Police are trying to figure out who was behind a fatal hit and run early Saturday morning.

Police said 41-year-old David Brown of Flat Creek died when he was riding his motorcycle at Lane Parkway and Union Street in Shelbyville, and a dark colored SUV hit him.

But instead of stopping, police said the driver of the SUV continued to drive off.

Brown's parents spoke to NewsChannel 5, with a message for the person behind the wheel.

"Just stop, turn yourself in, I forgive you." Brown's father Ronnie Presley said.  "Help us get through this, please.  It's all we ask."

Police said the dark colored SUV with front end damage was last seen traveling north on Nashville Dirt Road.  If you have any information about the hit and run, call Shelbyville police at 931-684-5811.  You could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 upon an arrest.
