FRANKLIN, Tenn. – A man was being held on a $1 million bond after police said he drugged, gagged and tied up a woman, and then sexually assaulted her at gunpoint.

40-year-old George McIntosh was charged with Aggravated Kidnapping and Aggravated Rape.

Police said they were called to an apartment complex on Moher Boulevard in Franklin around 3 a.m. Tuesday after witnesses reported finding a woman in her 20s outside with her wrists bound.

They arrived on scene and found the victim outside. According to police, she was visibly upset and had facial injuries.

The victim told police she had been bound by her hands and feet, drugged and gagged in the apartment she had recently moved into with McIntosh. She said he physically and sexually assaulted her at gunpoint. The victim was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment.

McIntosh and his victim met the victim on a popular dating website about a month ago, according to police.

McIntosh is being held in the Williamson County jail. A bond hearing could be held as early as Friday.
