NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A Nashville lawyer arrested in June for stalking country singer John Rich has been arrested again for allegedly stalking a 17-year-old girl.

Mark C. Sevier, age 36, was charged early Wednesday with aggravated stalking and criminal impersonation.

A police affidavit said Sevier approached the victim outside Bongo Java on Belmont Boulevard on July 26, and told her he had seen her there multiple times. He then allegedly followed her to the Ben & Jerry's on 21st Avenue South, where the victim works, but left when it started to get busy.

Police said Sevier then came back to the restaurant multiple times over the next few days, and asked other employees what her name was.

Sevier spoke with NewsChannel 5 reporter Nick Beres about the charges.

"I wasn't stalking this girl, but I was stalking Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream and she just happens to work there," said Sevier.

He admitted to asking her once or twice to be in a music video for a band, but she declined.

On August 3, one of the employees asked him to leave, which started an argument. During the argument, Sevier allegedly told the employee that "you don't want me as an enemy."

"She pretty much said we know who you are - you are the John Rich stalker. You are the mentally ill John Rich stalker," said Sevier, who denies stalking the girl.

Police later caught up to Sevier at another local restaurant, and said he lied about his name and refused to give them any other information about himself.

They found his driver's license in his wallet, and found that he had an outstanding warrant for the stalking charge. He told police he lied about his name because he didn't want to be arrested before his court date later this month.

His was released Wednesday morning on $38,000 bond.

The father of the teen model said he was concerned about his daughter's safety and was seeking an order of protection.

In June, Sevier was charged with stalking Rich. He was in a copyright dispute with the singer. Police reported that Sevier violated a restraining order by e-mailing Rich a photo wrapped in a flag with blood.

Rich, who travels frequently, told police he was worried for the safety of his wife and children. One of the emails mentioned his children.

"What John did was falsely accuse me of stalking him," said Sevier.

Although an arrest warrant was issued in April, Sevier was not arrested until June, according to jail records. He was released on bond the same day.

Sevier also made headlines in June when he filed what some have called a bizarre lawsuit against Apple Corporation. He claimed he accidentally accessed pornography on one of their products and now wants the company to install porn filters.

Sevier graduated with a law degree from Vanderbilt University in 2007, but was listed as inactive-disability status by the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility. He said Wednesday that his license was suspended.
