Two Arrested In Hendersonville Gas Station Burglary

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. – Two men have been arrested and accused of breaking into the manager's office at a Sumner County gas station.

The burglary happened Thursday just after noon at the Daily's Market at 343 East Main Street in Hendersonville.

Officials with the Hendersonville Police Department said surveillance video showed two male suspects walk into the store. One of the men kept watch out front while the other made his way into the manager's office.

When the clerk become suspicious and checked on the men. The lookout suspect left the store as the clerk called police.

Officers were able to arrest the men, identified as 62-year-old Berben Walker and 55-year-old Joe Hay. Both men are from Mississippi.

Walker was booked into the Sumner County jail on one count of burglary and one count of attempted theft.

Sample is charged with burglary and attempted theft. His court date is set for Oct. 9.

Both men will be held at the Sumner County Jail pending their court date and the other jurisdictions.
