Police-Involved Fatal Crash In Dickson County

DICKSON, Tenn. – A 90-year-old man was killed after colliding with a police cruiser on Highway 46 in Dickson County.

Two officers with the Dickson County Sheriff's Department were responding to a call around 7:30 p.m. Friday, when the vehicle tried to make a turn in front of them.

The wreck killed 90-year-old Clyde Faling Jr. Officials said the police vehicle had its emergency lights and sirens activated at the time of the crash.

Both officers, 47-year-old Roald Tilley and 30-year-old Sarah McCartney, were also injured in the crash and were transported to the hospital. The extent of their injuries was unknown.
