Workers Return To Lebanon Plant After Strike

Posted: Updated:

LEBANON, Tenn. - Striking workers in Lebanon are back at work after a new contract was agreed upon.

About 340 United Auto Union workers at the TRW plant walked out on August 25 after rejecting the company's last offer, and had been picketing around the plant.

The strike was prompted by concessions the company wanted in the new contract, including the way overtime pay is computed, increases in co-pays for healthcare and the use of more temporary employees at the plant.

The first workers returned Wednesday night.
