Search Continues For Hit-And-Run Suspect

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Police recovered the car that is believed to be involved in the fatal hit and run that occurred early Saturday morning.

29-year-old Jayson Hazley was hit by the vehicle on Briley Parkway near Gallatin Pike around 4:50 a.m. Saturday.

According to investigators, Hazley and a friend were using Briley Parkway to walk from Haley's apartment on Walton Lane to the friend's motel room on Dickerson Pike. Hazley's friend was not injured in the accident.

Sunday morning police recovered a 2004 silver Pontiac Grand Prix that is suspected of striking and killing Hazley. The vehicle was found at a home on Ames Drive. It has been impounded and is being processed.

Officers were still searching for the driver.
