MTSU Building Evacuated After Reports Of Bomb Threat

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Students at MTSU have been asked to leave the area around the Keathley University Center after reports of a bomb threat.

The notification was published on the Facebook page for Middle Tennessee State University at 2:14 p.m. Wednesday.

Details of the threat were not available. Police were still investigating and had not found anything yet.

The Keathley University Center is located in the center of campus. It was the only building evacuated.

The post advised people to leave the area immediately and stay away until further notice. The building was expected to reopen around 4 p.m. after crews conducted a full sweep of the area. 

Officials said suspicious activity should be reported to the MTSU Police Department at 615-898-2424.
