Man Caught, Accused Of Stealing Women's Undergarments

SMYRNA, Tenn. – A Rutherford County man accused of breaking into a home and stealing women's undergarments has been caught.

Officials with the Smyrna Police Department said 34-year-old Michael Ballinger was arrested Thursday in Smyrna. He was accused of breaking into a home and stealing women's undergarments.

According to police, Ballinger had a history of stealing woman's personal items and police said he admitted to the crime.

Officials with the Smyrna Police Department said on September 14, the suspect broke into a home on Burntwood Drive in Smyrna and entered a young female's room. According to police, the suspect stole undergarments, a picture of a young lady, and other personal items.

The items were later returned to the victim.

Ballinger's bond was set $102,500.
