MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – Murfreesboro Police have announced the results of their first crackdown on prostitution-type activities in the backrooms of two businesses.
It happened at two massage parlors Friday night. Police arrested Kiran Han for four counts of promoting prostitution.
They also arrested Sarah Yi and Chong Junkins for impersonating a licensed professional.
That was at the business called "Health Massage" on South Church Street, which the court shutdown.
Police said it's the first time a business has been shut down in Murfreesboro as a result of a police investigation into prostitution.
Police also arrested Duan Hong and Meihong Su for impersonating a licensed professional at the "Chinese Therapeutic Massage" on Memorial Boulevard.
"The customers going in there knew that they can go in there and ask for these things, the sexual favors," said Kyle Evans with the Murfreesboro Police Department.
Police said they know this kind of illegal activity goes on in other Murfreesboro businesses, and that these two busts are just the tip of the iceberg. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org Twitter: www.twitter.com/NC5_JasonLamb Facebook: www.facebook.com/NC5JasonLamb
